Statistical analysis plan (SAP)
In Documents & records
The statistical analysis plan sets out in detail how a trial's data will be analyzed. It defines the analysis populations, the exact statistical methods, and how missing data will be handled. It must be finalised before the database is locked and unblinded, so that results cannot influence the choice of method.
