Lost to follow-up (LTFU)
In Running the trial
A participant is lost to follow-up when the site can no longer reach them and their outcome is unknown. Sites must show they made and documented reasonable attempts to make contact before recording it. Missing outcome data weakens a trial, so preventing it is an active part of site work.
