An endpoint is a defined measurement used to judge whether a treatment had an effect. It must be specified in advance, including exactly what is measured, in whom, and when. Everything a trial does operationally exists ultimately to produce reliable endpoint data.
Example
\"Change in HbA1c from baseline to week 26\" is an endpoint: it names the measurement, the population, and the timing.
