Site activation

    In Oversight, quality & inspection

Also known as: green light, site open to recruitment

Site activation is the point at which a site is formally permitted to start screening and enrolling participants. It happens once all approvals, contracts, training, and supplies are confirmed and the sponsor issues a written go-ahead. Time to activation is one of the most-watched metrics in trial operations.
