Decentralised clinical trial (DCT)

    In Trial design & structure

Also known as: decentralized clinical trial, remote trial, hybrid trial

A decentralised trial moves some or all trial activity away from the traditional site, using telemedicine visits, home nursing, local laboratories, direct-to-participant shipping, and connected devices. Most trials described this way are hybrids that keep some in-person visits. The approach can widen access for people who live far from research centers.
