A clinician-reported outcome is an assessment made by a trained health professional that requires clinical judgment, such as rating the severity of a rash or scoring a neurological examination. Because judgment is involved, trials often require assessors to be trained and, where possible, kept consistent across visits. It contrasts with an outcome the participant reports themselves.
