Severity
In Safety & pharmacovigilance
Also known as: intensity, grade
Severity describes how intense an adverse event is, usually graded as mild, moderate, or severe, or on a scale such as CTCAE in oncology. It is a clinical judgment about the experience of the event. It is entirely separate from seriousness, which is about the outcome and drives reporting.
