Safety database
In Data & data management
The safety database is the dedicated system in which a sponsor records, assesses, and reports individual safety cases. It is kept separate from the clinical database because it must also handle post-marketing reports and feed regulatory submissions on strict timelines. Keeping the two consistent is why SAE reconciliation exists.
