Risk-based monitoring (RBM)
In Oversight, quality & inspection
Risk-based monitoring concentrates monitoring effort where the risk to participants and to data reliability is greatest, rather than treating every site and every data point equally. It combines central review of incoming data with targeted on-site and remote checks. It is now the expected default rather than an alternative approach.
